Below, I have listed a few of the websites that I have not shared in past blogs, with short descriptions to give you a flavor for the value of reviewing such websites for professional growth and knowledge about the changing world of work. This is a link to a professional website for Career and Technical Education and includes links to national reports and studies on certificate and two year degrees? employment and salaries. This is useful information for grant applications and for the realizing the job market for such degrees.

Lisa has been a community college career counselor since 1975 starting at Moorpark College and currently at El Camino College in Torrance, California. She has been a Dean of Counseling, Faculty Development Coordinator, an instructor, and a coordinator of Career Centers at two both colleges. She has also served on the California Community College Chancellor's Office Statewide Career Development Advisory for over 12 years and served on the California Community College Academic Senate?s State Faculty Development Committee and is a past president of Los Padres Chapter, ASTD and the California Community College Counselor?s Association. She co-authored The Career Fitness Program, Exercising Your Options, a popular career book used in community colleges and universities since 1989.
